Hard disk prob

I bought a wrong hard disk last 4 months and my pc is using the IDE and I bought SATA one..so juz make the story simple...

*i go to shop and buy adaptor to connect IDE with SATA

*I go home and try..sometime my pc can detect sometime cant

*all memory inside gone

*Go back to the shop but say no problem with his adaptor..

jz want ask ..who ever encounter tis prob or anyone know de solution?

Did you install the SATA driver (eventhough it's just a conversion)?

Or perhaps the HDD itself have the problem, my friend have a SATA HDD and after he put stuffs inside everything corrupted / gone.

tats the problem..sometime it can function and sometime cannot..aiz...and the files sure corrupted if i unplug it back

that is vr easy job only
